Mission:
Our breeding goal is to improve the breed and to produce puppies that are sound in temperament, health, hunting ability and conformation. The hope here is to produce dogs that are better than their own parents. Our dogs are bred first to be companion dogs that are sound and meet the Vizsla standard. We strive for dogs with the capability for championship titles, natural ability to hunt, and a work ethic that will enable a dog to succeed in many endeavors.

Education:
We take breeding seriously. For example: we follow the VCA Code of Ethics, are members of the VCA and three other Vizsla clubs, as well as an all--breed club. Additionally, we continuously expand our knowledge by consulting with our mentors, other breeders, and veterinarians. We also study genetics, veterinary science, and attend seminars regarding breeding, form and structure, puppy evaluating, and other topics relating to breeding versatile Vizslas. We are always in contact with, as well as working with, professional dog trainers.

Process:
We devote a great deal of time in the pursuit of Vizslas of excellent quality. This commences with the plans for the litter and the choosing of a stud dog. Breeding is a dance of compromises and how choices are made within these compromises. This is, in part, one factor that distinguishes the serious and responsible breeder from the casual or backyard breeder. As Francois Bernier (fellow breeder) so aptly states, " The person who claims perfection for his or her dog is often either not well informed or disingenuous".

Socialization:
The breeding, whelping, care, and socialization of the pups we whelp are all done without cutting any corners and with seriousness of purpose. We give our pups the best of starts. They are raised in our living room and are handled and socialized from birth, with children, many adults (old, young, those with glasses, hats, etc.), other dogs, household equipment and noises. By the time they go to their homes they have been introduced to crates, car rides, individual trips to stores, and safe play areas. Weather permitting, they have their housebreaking started. The puppies are paper trained as well.
