We are so very pleased to announce the arrival of our newest litter (only our 7th litter since 2000!). The "Sueppies" (pronounced, swep-peas) were whelped on Saturday, February 2, 2008. As has been the case with our previous 6 litters, our good friend, guardian to Merlin (CH Boulder's Merlin SH) and "Master Whelper Helper" Dr. Fran Mason, assisted. Thankfully, Suede gave Fran a bit of a relief and decided her pups would be born in the morning. Even if the whelping was to happen in the middle of the night we know Fran would have been here providing calm assurance as she has in the past. Fran's caring attitude and knowledge made this experience even more meaningful.
This year, we were fortunate to have 4 extra hands with Suede's co-owners, co-breeders of this litter, and valued friends, Mel Reveles and Aaron Davis. They came in from Denver to be with us and help the little red ones as they entered the world.
In every breeding we strive to produce quality pups who we hope will grow into beloved, well-mannered companions to their humans. One of our joys in life happens to be the many good friends we have met in the almost 13 years we have been in Vizslas. The relationships with our puppy families are so rewarding for us. It warms our hearts to receive emails and phone calls, telling us about the many wonderful ways their pups have enriched their lives. We are excited about the newest "human additions" to the Boulder Vizsla family!
Thanks again to Sarah Hunt for her pre-whelp management, tail-docking expertise, and overall support. Sarah is Devana's guardian (CH Boulder's Goddess of the Hunt), a very dear friend, and the Boulder Vizslas "webmaster." We're grateful to Sarah for the many hours she's dedicated to us, our website and the planning of this litter.
Finally, many thanks to Sharon and Carl Misiak for allowing their handsome and talented boy, Cappy, to sire this litter. We know these babies will be blessed with Cappy's sweet temperament. We're are all looking forward to watching these babies grow into the perfect canine citizens!
