CH Keystone Upwind Cullinan (Culli) was known for his outstanding temperament and desire to please-which most importantly-he passed along to his offspring. He had an exceptional nose, a keen desire to hunt and retrieved willingly to hand - making him an exciting dog to watch in the field!

Owner-handled, Culli finished his bench championship with back-to-back five point majors at the age of 14 months and was the Grand Sweeps Winner at the Vizsla Club of Greater NY Specialty in 1998. He was well on his way to his field championship after winning the Old Dominion Vizsla Club's coveted Helen Seelye Cup in November 2002 and earning his place in the callbacks during the 2003 National Championship. Out of the ten dogs called back for the second series, Culli was the only dog handled by his owner-an amateur.

With limited breeding, Culli has produced a master hunter, a senior hunter, a prize one NAVHDA Natural Ability Test winner, three bench champions and four junior hunters.

Upon his passing, here is an excerpt from what Beth, Culli's guardian wrote of her beloved companion:

No one was ever as happy to see me as Culli was. He listened attentively to all of my deepest secrets and was by my side through the most troubling times. He never missed an opportunity to curl up next to me just to be close.

Some dogs just steal your heart while you're not looking. And so it was with Culli and me.

How blessed I was to have had him as my teacher, my friend, my soul mate. God certainly does work in mysterious ways. It was time for Culli to leave me, but with his task completed as my master, he left me a far richer person. Through him I've learned to love more deeply, and I've become more patient and accepting of things I have no control over. He was one incredibly sweet and loving dog who had the power to move mountains.
